TERMS AND CONDITIONS
At Dash and Paws, the wellbeing of our dachshunds always comes first. Creating a safe, calm and happy environment means making sure our setup suits each individual dachshund.
Please review the Terms and Conditions below so we’re all on the same page.
From time to time, we may make updates as needed, so we recommend checking in occasionally for the latest version.
OUR DACHSHUNDS & GUEST DACHSHUNDS
At Dash and Paws, our resident dachshunds and guest dogs share a calm, supervised environment. All interactions are closely monitored to ensure safety and wellbeing. All dachshunds in our care have successfully completed and passed an initial trial assessment before joining the group.
ENRICHMENT & EXERCISE
Dachshunds who are new to boarding or daycare may experience a higher level of physical and mental activity then they may be used to at home. Therefore, your pup may be a little more tired than usual when they come home!
Collars & ID Tags
All dachshunds are required to wear a collar fitted with a current ID tag or contact phone number while in our care.
INJURY/IVDD/INFECTIOUS HEALTH PROBLEM
At Dash and Paws, we are committed to providing the highest standard of care for every dog in our care. However, it’s important to understand our liability and health policies.
While all reasonable care is taken, we cannot be held responsible for injury, illness, loss, or damage unless it results from proven negligence on our part. We are also not responsible for circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
UNSOCIABLE BEHAVIOUR - Unacceptable behaviour examples (but not limited to):
Severe separation anxiety (if your dachshund is so distressed in your absence that it cannot settle and may be displaying excessive barking/howling/crying/avoidance or refusing to socialise it would be kinder to find a home sitter)
History of resource guarding (any history of aggression regarding food/toys/humans/bonded dogs from same household)
History of being aggressive towards humans (nipping/snapping/growing/biting/teeth showing)
Excessive humping/obsession with other dogs
Marking territory/scent marking inside our home
Dominant with other dogs (during play/around food/sleep)
Excessive Barking (we still have neighbours!)
Excessive fear or avoidance (not letting anyone approach, touch, handle, or pick them up when necessary)
Untrained (refusal to comply with human requests without bribery/recall/moving off furniture/coming indoors and cannot therefore be controlled in an emergency situation)
Lacking basic manners (untrained/wired/very excitable)
CANCELLATION POLICY
We understand that sometimes unexpected events can affect your travel plans. While we do our best to be flexible and accommodating, we also need to protect our business from financial loss due to cancellations.
